Chili Recipe
This Chili recipe is not only yummy but it is a super easy recipe and a healthy recipe. It only took about 15 minutes to prepare and then we decorated Christmas cookies while it cooked for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
Serves 12
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 medium bell pepper chopped
- 3lbs lean ground beef or turkey
- 2 cups of water
- 2 16oz cans of black beans drained
- 2 6oz cans of tomato paste
- 3 tsp of salt
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp each of pepper, cumin, oregano, and ground red pepper
Make it
- In large pot, combine onion, bell pepper and meat. Cook over medium heat until cooked through and no longer pink.
- To cooked meat mixture, add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- Now go ice cookies, do laundry or, better yet, go for a run!
