Online Personal Training

Having a personal trainer can be invaluable, but I also love the aspect that online personal training and nutrition coaching can bring to the table. I realize that weight loss can be complicated. There is so much involved. Meal planning and workout design can be overwhelming and frustrating.

Even more, research suggests that even just a 15-20 minute chat with a coach each month makes you over 50 percent more likely to lose the weight and keep it off! However, since I have started this site, I have struggled with how to effectively train and help clients that are so far away. People have suggested that I produce workout videos, but realistically, I just don't have the resources. Believe me, I would jump right in your television if I could.

So, I had an idea! [Read More]

Top 9 Benefits of Having a Personal Trainer

I know what you’re thinking. What are the benefits of personal training? Is it really worth the money? Ten years ago I might have said it’s up for debate. I had always been in shape from playing sports and didn’t see what the big deal was. However, since then, I have had a baby and experienced first-hand the challenges of losing a fair amount of weight.

Honestly, I don’t know how I would’ve done it without my background in personal training. Even more, over the years, I have watched the transformation of my clients’ bodies as well as their self-esteem, something they had been trying to accomplish for many years by themselves. I learned very quickly that the fitness knowledge that I too often take for granted is not common knowledge at all. People need pointed in the right direction and a foundation to build on. They need the support and confidence to believe in themselves and their goals. So, do I think it is worth the money? Absolutely, the benefits of personal training are invaluable! It’s worth every penny!

Top 12 Healthy Eating Guidelines for Weight Loss

Yes, many of us tend to drop the ball when it comes to following healthy eating guidelines. I firmly believe nutrition is where many of us sabotage our weight loss efforts.

I’m guilty…I’ve been known to steal a couple of my sons animal crackers or sneak a few bites of his Mac & Cheese. Then there are those of us that are so busy getting our kids ready in the morning that we forget to eat breakfast…I know who you are!!!

Real Fit Store

By teaming up with Amazon I have come up with some my favorite and, in my opinion, best exercise equipment, tools and toys that I just don’t think you should have to live without.

For example, I am a huge Jillian Michaels fan and I recommend every one of her books to help you get where you want to go. It might not surprise you that I don’t work out without my Polar heart rate monitor strapped on, the BOB jogging stroller is gold, good shoes are my number one priority and I do a little dance every time my Fitness Magazine comes in the mail. It just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t pass them on to you.

Heads Up

I know that we have been MIA here that past couple of months. We have been trying to add some new things and clean things up a bit and it took a little longer than we expected. Then Lindsey had her sweet little girl and I'm so big I'm about to explode. It won't be too long and I will be a proud (very busy) mother of two. So, we have decided to do our newsletters quarterly until things settle down a little bit. We will still be adding content weekly but the newsletter will come every three months instead of every month. So, we will be catching back up with you all in February!
